On a gamble I bought a bottle of Red Truck. I usually go into the grocery or wine shop with a list or note I've made after reading reviews and spend $25+ per bottle. I decided to stick with the "end cap" choices (usually on sale for $10.99 range) I wanted to fine a bargin I could be happy with. Both my wife and I agreed we could drink the Red Truck and be happy most of the time, especially if not spending $100.00 on a fancy meal. I did a yahoo search and saw this review and was happy that you at least found it the lesser of a few evils.

Guys - making any call on NZ Pinot based on these wines is abit like making a call on US cuisine after a visit to Dennys - keep trolling the aisles - those three are all 2nd and 3rd rate wines in the nz wine scene and that would be generous where the oyster bay is concerned. Get thee straight to the San Francisco "Jug Shop" where there is the best US based NZ Pinot Noir collection. Chuck will direct you towards the light

I'm completely in love with Mollydooker winery.

You can order all their wines at www.mollydookerwines.com and get free shipping on a full (mixed) case, plus all the wine at the stated price (so $20 for the Boxer, which I think is the BEST $20 bottle of wine out there by far). Also try the Blue Eyed Boy (the one step up from the Boxer) - it's expensive at $50, but tastes like an $80-$100 bottle of wine, it's VERY impressive.
